New Originals & Resin Panels
May 12th, 2010 posted by

Tomorrow @ 6pm (pst) - in my Etsy Shop…
I will be listing 5 or 6 original paintings / drawings on panel and canvas. Here is a sneak peek –

ALSO, I will be launching the new version of my resin panels. I am finally set up to do these all throughout the year! I used to frame them in store-bought frames or whitewash the edges, but I really enjoy the way they look framed in the deeper natural wood. The images themselves are so glassy and colorful, I think the wood adds a nice soft contrast. These are all made by hand, so it takes a little longer and is a bit more involved, but I can’t stop looking at them and thinking “gorgeous!”

See you tomorrow!

Hi Yellena,
I recently discovered your work and I feel so inspired by the organic and graceful shapes! I can totally see your art being printed on fabric and wallpaper, cups and plates, etc. This is not to belittle the artsy qualitites in any way, I just think it is so graphic that it would lend itself to these things. Maybe you already have such projects going, I haven´t read your entire blog archive yet….just wanted to give you thumbs up,
Heidi
