My new show, Biosynthesis, opens on Saturday, 11/20 (6-10pm) @ the Hijinks Gallery — Brand new artwork, including a 96″ painting, some smaller paintings, drawings, and lots of in-between, with installation by SF artist Pete Belkin.. come by & say “hi.” Gallery Hijinks is a new gallery in the Mission run by some super amazing people with tons of experience in the art scene and an impeccable eye for great art.
Here’s a link to their blog-post and downloadable press release, and another link to an interview they just put up this morning. The show will run from November 20th, 2010 - Jan 1st, 2011. Hope to see you!

hi Yellena I just thought I would write about how fascinating your art is. I could sit all day and stare at your work. I love the fact that it resembles nature, your involvement of nature gives it a pleasant and cool look. I go to Beardwood humanities college and we are studying your work, we had to chose one artist and write about them for critical studies, i chose you and i am actually meant to be doing it now however i happened to stumble upon this website and thought i have to comment on your awesome art, thank you for making my first art project in year 10 fun and exciting!
